Terms of service

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Short version

$49.99 a month, billed monthly. No lock-in and no exit fee: cancel any time and the cards are yours to keep. We tell you when a review lands and write a reply for you, but you read it and post it yourself. Nobody can promise you Google rankings, and we don't.

1. About these terms

Word Around is a service run by Jared Bartolo, trading as V2 Designs, ABN 73 171 765 491, of Werribee, Victoria ("we", "us", "our"). Part A covers using this website and applies to everyone. Part B covers the Word Around service and applies once you sign up or buy cards from us. If we agree something different with you in writing, that written agreement wins where the two conflict.

Part A — Using this website

2. What's on this site

The information here is general and is meant to help you decide whether Word Around suits your business. Prices and features are current at the date above but may change.

3. Enquiries

Sending an enquiry doesn't commit you to anything, and it doesn't commit us to taking you on. We handle your details under our privacy policy.

4. Acceptable use and our content

Don't use this site for anything unlawful, don't try to gain unauthorised access to it, and don't send automated submissions through the form. The design, text and code of this site, and the Word Around name, belong to us. Don't copy them for your own commercial use.

Part B — The Word Around service

5. What you get

6. What we don't do

7. Fees and payment

The service costs $49.99 per month in Australian dollars. We're not currently registered for GST, so no GST is added. If that changes, we'll give you written notice first.

Payment is taken monthly in advance through Stripe, starting on the day your service is set up. We may change the monthly price by giving you at least 30 days' notice. If you don't want to continue at the new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.

Free trials

If we offer you a free trial, we'll tell you how long it lasts. When it ends, we won't charge you unless you've told us you want to continue.

8. Cards

Cards are included with your subscription, and we'll supply as many as your business reasonably needs. If you buy cards without a subscription, you pay the price we agree when you buy them.

Cards are yours to keep, including after you cancel. If a card doesn't work, tell us and we'll reprogram or replace it.

9. If a payment fails

We'll let you know and give you a reasonable chance to fix it. If a payment is still outstanding 14 days after we've told you, we may pause your alerts and reports until it's sorted. We'll always contact you before pausing anything.

10. Cancelling

There's no lock-in contract, no minimum term and no exit fee. Cancel any time by calling, texting or emailing us. Your service continues until the end of the month you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund part-months.

When you cancel, we remove ourselves as a manager on your Google Business Profile, and we delete our copies of your reviews within 90 days, as set out in our privacy policy.

11. Your responsibilities

12. Google and other platforms

The service depends on platforms we don't control, including Google and SMS carriers. They set their own rules, change their features and can suspend accounts. Google's notifications can arrive late or occasionally not at all. The public ratings and review counts in your monthly summary come from Google and may be delayed or incomplete. We're not responsible for these platforms' outages, policy changes or decisions about your account. If a change stops part of the service from working, we'll tell you.

13. Availability

We aim to keep alerts and reports running at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. When something breaks, we'll fix it as quickly as we reasonably can.

14. No guarantee of results

Reviews matter for local businesses, and replying to them helps. But the number of reviews you get, your rating and where you appear on Google depend on your customers, your competition and Google itself. We can't and don't guarantee any particular result.

15. Liability

Our services and cards come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Where the law allows us to limit our liability, we limit it to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. To the extent the law permits, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost business, or loss caused by a third-party platform. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.

16. Confidentiality

We keep your business information and your reviews data confidential and use them only to provide the service. We may use de-identified figures combined across all customers to improve the service. Those figures never identify you or your customers.

17. Ending the service from our side

We may end the service by giving you one month's notice. We may end it immediately if you use it unlawfully, breach Google's review rules through the service, or leave a payment unpaid well beyond the period in clause 9.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version always lives at this address, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change materially affects you, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel if you don't accept it.

19. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and both of us submit to the courts of Victoria. If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Most things get sorted with a phone call.
